Ladurée

I had the most amazing café experience at Ladurée, 16 Rue Royal, Paris. I had read about Ladurée and their macarons on various other blogs, but when I got there I looked at the beautiful pastries - little works of art - in the window and was practically enchanted.

Who am I going to be? Mademoiselle Mimosa, Mademoiselle Rose?
Vem ska jag vara? Mademoiselle Mimosa, Mademoiselle Rose?

I walked into a beautiful room... Jag gick in i ett vackert rum...

I decided I am Mademoiselle Rose; I ordered a rose-flavoured Religieuse and coffee. The Religieuse did almost make me religious (I now worship Ladurée). Rose cream, fresh raspberries inside... Absolutely wonderful.
Alldeles underbar.

The prices weren't bad either, in case you wonder. Really. Not much worse than Starbucks, for instance, (or having coffee at a boring café and paying 4,50 Euro!) but this was so much better! Beautiful environment, delicious pastries and coffee, super nice staff. Ladurée, I shall return. Next time.

Wow, these make plain macaroons even more sinful! They are so pretty, they are like European versions of those dainty Japanese snacks... too pretty to unwrap and eat pieces of artwork!

Oh, this was one of the places my daughter and I wanted to visit while we were in Paris, but we never did find out the address! How I wish we could have found it - but I am glad to at least get a taste of what we missed through your lovely pictures!
