Letters / Brev

cards by me found here / kort av mig finns här

Do you write letters? The kind you write on paper, with a pen? I mostly communicate via e-mail (much more than I speak) but I do love to write - and to receive - paper letters. Tangible letters, envelopes you need to open and not click to open.

When I was little, my aunt would send me postcards and letters, some of them written in secret code. It was always really exciting to receive them. We didn't live far apart and that's not the point of writing letters either.

A while back, I wrote (and drew) these letters for my two smallest friends Lin and Lova. Their mum sent me a photo when they opened the letters!

And guess what? They sent me one back!
Och gissa vad? Jag fick ett tillbaka!

I think you can see my love for letters and writing in many of my collages as well

Write a letter! Skriv ett brev!

It is so rare to receive or send handwritten letters...

Mmm.. perhaps we ought to set up a letter-writing circle?

to answer your question about the box...it is a box to hold all of her sewing items. i bought her some fabric, thread, needles, scissors and lots of other little bits that are best stored in a sweet box. my lovely ffriend linda sold them in her shop (which she has had to close due to her illness) but you can still visit her blog at lillycottage

I only have one of her books, how to be an explorer of the world and I love it!!

Write me a letter and I would write you back! Or maybe I should start...email me your address?
