So this is where I live, Härnösand, det är här jag bor

I went for a walk and guess what - I brought you with me! This is what Härnösand, Sweden, looks like. Härnösand was founded in 1585. The town centre is located on an island and this is the view from the main bridge, left and right.

There are many beautiful buildings and angles...
Det finns många vackra byggnader och vinklar...

Okay, let's stop for coffee. This café has excellent taste in magazines, especially when it comes to who's on the cover ;)

This is the library, right next to the university (Mid Sweden University).
Detta är biblioteket, alldeles bredvid universitetet (Mittuniversitetet).

Now I'm cheating - these three photos are from last Saturday when my mum and aunt came to visit and we went to a fair. That's my aunt liking a statue and she and my mum having coffee near a very windy ocean.

The sea...
Havet...

That's the castle where the king lives (I wish!!)

A rather empty town square there in the middle...
Ett ganska tomt torg där i mitten...

Finally, a couple of views from the old part of town, Östanbäcken, with lovely wooden houses.

photos by me, obviously, Maria-Thérèse Andersson :)

This is a beautiful place. So empty!! Where's everyone? I crave silent/peaceful places like your town sometimes. If you ever want some craziness, let me know and you're welcome here in London.

How wonderful! I loved seeing your world. Just lovely -- the water, the houses, the library (can't beat a library), the butterfly, the castle -- all!

You are blessed to live in a place so beautiful. And it is blessed to have such a beautiful resident!
But, I couldn't help notice the appalling lack of tiaras on the townspeople:)

Congrats on POTD mention!

Stunning photography. I don't want to sound dopey, but the first couple photos actually reminded me of Venice for some reason.

Oh, and Auntie has very fine taste in statuary!

Congratulations on your POTD mention.

My goodness you must be inspired every day. I try to appreciate what beauty I can find around me but I can't help but be terribly jealous of those who don't have to look that far for beauty. But it's you and I know how much you really appreciate it so that's what matters most.
Facebook! I can't find you! I"m a fan of your afiori page. can you add me from there? How is this so hard?!

Long time no hear!

I love the old part of town... actually, the new is picturesque too. What is on the windows of that very last photo?

That was so much fun! Hopefully someday, you will be able to give me a personal tour in person! How wonderful that would be!

Hugs,
Debbie
