The butterfly whisperer and the books / Kvinnan som kunde tala med fjärilar

I have a friend who just realised she is a butterfly whisperer. She was taking a walk and suddenly a butterfly appeared, flew next to her at first and then landed on her hand and sat there the entire walk. Now, my friend may be sweet as nectar but still this seemed pretty extraordinary.

I've had butterflies on my mind today. Looking through my photo archives I saw photos of the first butterfly every spring, butterflies on August flowers, butterflies in grass, a strange bird-looking butterfly in Milan.

If they could speak - or if you could hear them - what would they say? "Hello, hello, I'm here to make you happy!" or "What's your view on the economic crisis and its impact on global trade?"

Today was very cloudy so I felt extra drawn to colours and am adding these to my shop...

...and now I'm fluttering off...
...nu fladdrar jag iväg...

(and that is how I dressed when I worked as a teacher last year / och så där klädde jag mig förra året när jag jobbade som lärare)

All photos of butterflies and on covers were taken by me, Maria-Thérèse Andersson. Photo of me with wings was taken by a former student.

Beautiful images - and I really enjoyed the comment you left about your father and the balloon.

Fabulous pictures! And I love your butterfly wings...

Butterflies don't care about the economic crisis. I think they are just there to bring joy.

How lovely!
I had a friend who believed the butterflies were spirits. Though i don't agree it is a sweet thought

I love butterflies but something about them scare me a little bit. they are large and i almost feeling they really are little pixies. i wish they could talk to me. I'd tell them my secrets.
