The little shroom / Den lilla flugsvampen

I went to buy a large tube of black acrylic paint since I had a bad attitude today, and found this lovely little clay toadstool (at a very low price), handmade by Suzanne at Färgkompaniet, a local paint store. It reminds me of Vanessa Valencia's art - I have her "A Perfectly Peculiar Day" postcards and one of her mermaids. Look at this in her shop, or take a look at everything. Vanessa is such a cool artist with a very individual and pretty style. Also visit Vanessa's lovely blog, it's like a fairytale. Suddenly I don't need all that black paint.
Have you done any shopping lately? Any favourite sites?

Hi Maria Therese, I am not sure about the etiquette of all of this I have been reading your blog with interest and thank you for the comments you have left on mine, but I was unsure how to go about replying and if it would get to you via the anonymous sign in. so correct me if need be. Anyway, for my book I am planning to back two individual sheets and sew them together I think and then I will probably use one of the methods that Keith Smith uses with single sheets still thinking.... Janet (loriidae)- and I am using anonymous as I couldn't get Open ID to work hmmmm...

I am really getting into a Holiday Mood. I feel like shopping for sparkly happy things. Or even strange old antique toys...

Hugs!! V

loriidae - no etiquette, I like it when people just jump right in and say something. I guess I'm the only one who hasn't read Keith Smith's book...

V -- sparkly happy things and strange antique toys! yay!

Isn't that wonderful when you are in a bum mood and something - a song, a person, an animal, etc - seems to come out of thin air just to make you feel better? That little mushroom sure packs a punch of sunshine! My latest purchases were from roseofsharonacres on Etsy. I just LOVE getting her packages in the mail filled with a new batch of lovely soaps and lotion.
