Explosions / Explosioner

I often get the feeling that things move too slowly. That I don't do enough, and if I did I would still be stuck. I want words and pictures to constantly whirl around me, I want to finish writing one book a week and read five and bind ten and do fun creative work for other people while I'm at it. Just before the weekend I felt really stuck but I forgot I do things the way explosions work. Good explosions, that is. I whined and moped and didn't get started until 6 p.m. but I worked until 1.30 and suddenly found myself with eight collages that I really like.

The first one was done completely by hand; second one has a digitally layered vintage envelope on top. Which do you like the most?

So, what are you doing today? / Vad har du gjort idag?

Oh I get that feeling too! I often use symbols in my work to signify that feeling. Lovely pieces.

I love them both. If I had to choose, and since you asked (!) I like the first one best because of the beauty of its simplicity. Both pieces are a piece of feminine beauty, as are the others that poured out of you during your creative time:))

I just found your blog and visited today for the first time. I'm so glad I did! I'm going to add you to my blog roll right now because I think you are a kindred spirit, and I am inspired by your art and writing.

Love,
Alberta

P. s. I adore the tiny "fanciful" mushroom you bought.

Wow, they're all amazing and I loved your comment on my blog! I hate how people judge other people's behavior!

I think that's just typical for an artist or every creative person, that we don't work 'on command' but when we feel inspired!

The collages are wonderful! I like the first the most. I like the fragility in your work.

What you can't see in online is the texture, the richness that the hand done work gives you. I enjoy small collage work and the layers are what make it special.
