How I became a burglar / Så blev jag en inbrottstjuv

I bet you thought I was a nice person. Honest, sweet, that sort of thing. Well, it's about time I told you the truth, and no, this won't end with it being just a dream.

I was only looking for some food and a bed to sleep in. Really, I wasn't even planning to steal any jewellery. Those were my relatively honest intentions when I entered the house, without even considering I could get in trouble. Thus naïve was I.

As soon as I had set my dirty little foot in the house, there was an omniscent clicking sound. Then there was a beep. Shortly after, the entire house was ringing and shouting at me: Weeeeeeeeeeeooooooooo Weeeeeeeeeeeooooooooo Weeeeeeeeeeeooooooooo WEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOOO, louder and louder. I tried to find a phone to call the security company and say everything was fine, but alas, the phones were unplugged and when I plugged them in they didn't work. All the while, the house shouted at me, even louder WEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOWEEEEEEEEEEEOOOOOOOOOO and I think there was smoke and blinking lights too but I'm not sure. What I do know is that my bones were vibrating from the sound.

Well.
The house was my mother's.
She was in a spa in Estonia.
I had forgotten that she even had an alarm.
I had left my mobile phone where somebody had made me waffles.
My mum's phones were unplugged and didn't work because of a thunder storm before she left.

I had to leave the hollering house, get my phone, get the security code and call the company and finally the ringing stopped. I still felt like the above picture for quite some time though.
