My ballet company poster for NorrDans / Min affisch till Norrdans

Finally I can show you my poster for dance company NorrDans since it is now up on their site! The performance is called Schakt (which means 'shaft', like in a mine) and it's very dark and anxiety-filled. The choreography was made by Per Jonsson, important coreographer who committed suicide and died young. The stage will be all black except for three copper plates in the background, so when I made this picture I painted with metallic paints on black card for the background; everything is painted except for the dancer. Behind him there's darkness like a deep mine or something threatening, but he is carefully looking to see if maybe there is some hope. Or maybe there isn't and he dies. His hands resembling wings and the spirit in the background may have something to do with resurrection.

Thank you! I wanted it not to be a typical dance poster but interesting to a wider audience. I haven't been interested in dance at all myself until now.
