My 2009 / Mitt 2009

In January my uncle died.
I januari dog min morbror.

In February, I started my business afiori at midnight, Feb. 17th. I made one sale the first night which made me really happy! (Logo by Charlotte Ämting.)
In March, things started to break. 2 photo printers, 3 computers, 1 camera, 1 mobile phone, i.e. most of the things I needed for my newly started business.
I mars började saker gå sönder.

In April, the first little tussilago flowers finally showed up in the midst of all the lingering snow.
I april dök de första små tussilagona äntligen upp mitt i all snö som fortfarande låg kvar.

In May, I was contacted by a Hollywood movie which wanted my photographs and collages as part of the set of The Roommate, due for release in 2010 and starring one of my favourite actresses, Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl! I was on the cover of a newspaper and a magazine which had planned to interview me anyway about creativity and inspiration.

Also, in May, Wendela Isabel was born, my cousin's grandchild. (She would have been my uncle's great-granddaughter.)
I maj föddes också Wendela Isabel, min kusins barnbarn. (Hon skulle ha varit min morbrors barnbarnsbarn.)

In June, I felt very restless. I booked a trip to Rome and went there the next day. It helped.

In July, I held an exhibition of my photographs, Home - Away, in Graninge.

In August, I went to the beach a lot. There were only a few warm days so I hurried to catch them. I went there with friends or I went alone and worked on the beach.

In September, I brought afiori to a small market in Kramfors. It was fun.

In October, I published my first book, an illustrated poetry book called Det som finns. I also made my poetry debut at the poetry festival Västernorrlands Poesifestival. First time I ever read my poetry to anyone and I didn't even get to practice first. It went super well though.

In November, I first showed my illustrations on the internet and started the brand & shop Koutchicoo.

In December, I exhibited photographs and sold afiori and Koutchicoo notebooks, scrapbooks and cards at Gammlia Christmas Market in Umeå. It was a fun weekend. I also passed 1000 "hearts" on Etsy which meant more than 1000 people had marked my shop as a favourite!

A year to be proud of!
Good idea to make a summary like this, think I will do that too, seems like fun!
