The car mechanic at the circus / Bilmekaniker på cirkus

I went to my mechanic to check the air pressure in my car tires since I'm too lazy to figure out how to do it myself. He always asks how my business is doing and I said it is going well. "Did you see my photos in the paper? I'm doing freelance work for the newspaper now and then and today there was an article by me about the circus - " at which he interrupts me and says: "Well, I used to work at the circus." "You what?" I momentarily thought he was talking about my old car, but he wasn't. "Yup. Worked at the circus. But in those days, there were lions and elephants and llamas. We had two elephants. One was called Hella 1 and the other Hella 2 because that one was smaller" - he held hand up in air to show size of elephants. I was dumbfounded but eventually took out my camera and mumbled: "I have to blog this. Could you please stand over here and - " "He-eee-ell no! You are not blogging me!" he exclaimed and hid himself.

Kind of took the edge off my bragging. He worked at a circus. With lions and elephants. Lacking a photo of my car mechanic, here's a photo of some cherry blossoms.

Jag åkte till min bilmekaniker för att kolla luften i däcken eftersom jag är för lat för att räkna ut hur jag kan göra det själv. Han frågar alltid hur det går med mitt företag och jag sa att joo, det går bra. "Såg du mina bilder i tidningen? I dag var det en artikel av mig om cirkus - " och så avbryter han mig och säger: "Jag har jobbat på cirkus." "VA?" För en stund trodde jag att han menade min före detta bil, men det gjorde han inte. "Japp. Jag har jobbat på cirkus. Men på den tiden hade vi lejon och elefanter och lamadjur. Vi hade två elefanter. Hella 1 och Hella 2 för hon var mindre" - han visade i luften hur stora elefanterna var. Jag var alldeles paff men kom till slut på att jag skulle ta fram kameran och mumlade: "Jag måste få blogga det här. Kan du ställa dig där och - " "Nej för heeelll-vettttt-e! Du ska inte blogga mig!" utropade han och gömde sig.
