While I was out doing this...

...my sister made a vegetable garden near our mum's house, watched the vegetables grow, turned them into dinner while my mum and aunt set the table and I even got carrots and lettuce to go.

Then I drove back to Härnösand and it was almost dark around 9 p.m. - a sure sign that seasons are changing but let's not talk about that - and the road was covered with frogs, they were everywhere. Big frogs, little frogs, fat frogs, flat frogs, tiny frogs I thought were leaves, slow frogs and fast frogs. I zigzagged between them - there were hundreds of them - and it took an hour longer to get here. I haven't seen a frog since I was little; I suppose they all decided to show up at the same time.

Back to the carrots - they are absolutely delicious, almost transparent and very sweet tasting. I thought vegetables were the things in the supermarket that come from Peru but the fact is I grew up eating D.I.Y vegetables and forgot what they tasted like.

Homegrown carrots are so sweet, they almost taste like coconut!

We've got lots of frogs here too!

I had a lovely birthday!!! I will write all about it but it just didn't sink in, yet! There will be pictures! But I didn't take any :D

And, I found out a really lovely friend is vegan, has been for 3 years.
